PRESS: Restaurants see disruption of alcohol supplies over virus

MOSCOW, Mar 19 (PRIME) -- Large importers of alcohol began to notify Russian restaurants of the risks of supply disruption due to the coronavirus, Kommersant business daily reported Thursday citing a source in a Moscow restaurant chain.

In particular, distributor Luding notified of possible problems with alcohol supplies, the source said. The company said that disruptions are expected due to closure of borders and possible changes in customs operations due to the pandemic.

Yevgeny Prokhorov, deputy CEO of Shokoladnitsa group of companies, confirmed receiving such letters from suppliers. The company receives notifications of shipment of goods only on an advance payment, he said.
